Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Turbo Taines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brenen Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phillips comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Am I A Psycho kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Brenen Phillips has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taines looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Phillips tries to roll over but Taines keeps him under control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Taines cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Phillips is in a horrible position here. Taines smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Phillips tries to hold on but Taines postures up.
Phillips slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Taines is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Taines trying to mount his opponent but Phillips defends it.

Phillips wants to improve his position but Taines is controlling well.

Taines is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Phillips is just riding it out for now. Taines eventually gives up the hold.

Taines is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Taines is looking for a kimura but Phillips is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Taines to get the leverage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Taines has hold of Phillips's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Phillips tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Taines cranks the arm and Phillips screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Phillips, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
