Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Alejandro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Godley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alejandro tries for a takedown but Godley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Godley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Alejandro's guard.

Godley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alejandro is just riding it out for now. Godley eventually gives up the hold.

Godley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Godley has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Godley cracks Alejandro with a big right hand but Alejandro just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Godley swings around for an armbar but Alejandro sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Godley's guard.

Alejandro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alejandro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Alejandro got a little sloppy there for a moment and Godley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alejandro has managed to get both his arms back between Godley's legs - danger averted.

Alejandro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Godley is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Godley has escaped and now he's on top!

Alejandro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Godley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Godley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Godley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alejandro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Godley sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Alejandro's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
