Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brendon Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis comes into the arena with Tricky - Evolution Revolution Love blaring out of the sound system. Brendon Lewis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Diego Martinez's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martinez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lewis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Martinez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Martinez jumps guard and drags Lewis to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Martinez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lewis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Martinez, into his guard.

Lewis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lewis is trying to hold Martinez in close to prevent damage but Martinez has managed to pass into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lewis is looking to escape.

Martinez goes for an armbar but Lewis turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Lewis.
Lewis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well Martinez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
