Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Nick Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
19 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Dan Jordon!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordon lands with a thumping leg kick.
Carter takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Sloppy strikes from Carter. Those never looked like landing.
Carter throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jordon shoots in and bounces Carter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jordon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jordon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jordon wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving.
Jordon postures up in Carter's guard and throws a big left but Carter blocks it.

Carter wants to sweep here but Jordon controlling him for the moment.
Jordon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jordon is looking to advance position but Carter has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Jordon tries to reverse the position but Carter maintains control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jordon is looking to improve his position but Carter isn't that keen on the idea.
Jordon tries to hold on but Carter postures up.
Jordon sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Jordon moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Carter throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jordon counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Carter is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Carter doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jordon looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Jordon is looking to slow Carter down with leg kicks.
Carter tries to bum rush Jordon with a series of wild strikes but Jordon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Carter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jordon connects with a high kick.
Dan Jordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jordon takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Carter cracks Jordon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Carter has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jordon.
Jordon tries to clinch but Carter is having none of it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jordon.
Carter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jordon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Carter uses from the top position.
Jordon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Carter throws a body punch but Jordon moves out of range.
Jordon feints and then cracks Carter's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Carter down.

Jordon throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Carter.

Carter wants to stand and escape but Jordon is having none of it.
Jordon throws an elbow that misses. Carter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jordon's guard. Nice move by Carter!
Carter is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jordon has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Carter is looking to defend but Jordon has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Carter! Jordon pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Carter taps out and this one is all over!
