Marshall's entrance music is Warrior's Pride. A fine choice. Jackson has chosen Can't be Touched as his entrance music. Quinton Jackson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Trey Marshall's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Trey Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Quinton Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marshall pushes Jackson up against the cage in a clinch.

Jackson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Marshall's elbow.
Jackson tries to work over Marshall's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Marshall doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Jackson throws a punch but it's blocked by Marshall.

Marshall is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jackson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Marshall to the mat. Marshall regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Jackson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Jackson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson trying to control but Marshall is working from the bottom.

Jackson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Marshall is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Marshall has escaped and now he's on top!
Marshall has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marshall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jackson looks to land a strike but Marshall avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Jackson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Marshall manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jackson has Marshall in his guard.
Jackson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jackson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Marshall manages to get himself to full guard.
Jackson looking to sit in guard and control but Marshall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Marshall's guard.

Marshall wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quinton Jackson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jackson throws a shot from downtown. Marshall moves away and avoids it.
Jackson scores with a one two! Marshall had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Jackson throws a one two combo.
Marshall is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.
Jackson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Marshall stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jackson connects with a body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marshall as he jumps to the side.

and Marshall counters with a stiff right hand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jackson shoots in but Marshall avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jackson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Marshall slips a jab and a cross from Jackson.
Marshall fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jackson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Marshall at a distance.
Jackson digs a good body shot into Marshall's ribs.
Marshall needs to keep his hands up - Jackson had a free shot at his head there.
Marshall tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Marshall stuffs the takedown.
Trey Marshall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quinton Jackson.
Marshall stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marshall wants it to stay on the feet.
Marshall throws a big shot that misses.
Jackson scores with a punch to the head.

Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Marshall looks to clinch
and Marshall takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Marshall throws a hook but Jackson avoids it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marshall has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Marshall swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jackson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Jackson thows a body shot but no joy.
Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marshall's waist but Marshall gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.
Jackson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


Marshall is rocked!
Jackson throws a monster overhand right that drops Marshall! Jackson follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Quinton Jackson!
Quinton Jackson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
