Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krostiner Magamedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Piekny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Krostiner Magamedov has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Piekny darts in and clinches Magamedov up against the cage.
Magamedov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Piekny walks away with a smile on his face. Magamedov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Piekny displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Magamedov.

Piekny has Magamedov up against the cage in a clinch.
Piekny lands a hook that snaps the head of Magamedov backwards.
Piekny lands a body shot.

Piekny breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Piekny has taken the fight to the clinch.

Piekny is trying to trip Magamedov. He has hold of a leg but Magamedov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Piekny persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Piekny works over Magamedov with some ground and pound from guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Piekny is looking to work some ground and pound but Magamedov has wrist control.
Piekny prevents Magamedov from getting back to his feet.
Piekny content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Piekny trying to stand up but can't free himself from Magamedov's guard.

Piekny stands up from Magamedov's guard - Piekny perhaps looking for a knockout.

Piekny clinches up with Magamedov and pushes him back against the cage.

Piekny lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Magamedov backwards.
Magamedov tries to pull guard but Piekny won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krostiner Magamedov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Piekny avoids the elbow strike from Magamedov, against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Piekny.

Piekny has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Magamedov regains guard immediately.
Piekny with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Piekny really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Magamedov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Magamedov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Piekny cracks Magamedov with a solid left hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Piekny stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Magamedov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Piekny wants to get up but he can't break Magamedov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Piekny wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Magamedov's closed guard. He's half up but Magamedov has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Magamedov pivots and extends the arm, Piekny falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Magamedov! Well done that man!
