The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Balboa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Balboa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Balboa is looking to take a break and control but Vita is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Balboa throws a strike aimed at the side of Vita's head but Vita avoids it well.

Balboa swings around for an armbar but Vita sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Balboa's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vita lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Vita makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Vita postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Vita lands a couple of elbows.

Vita working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Balboa's head.

Balboa throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Vita distracts Balboa with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Balboa is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Vita with a nice head shot there.
Vita postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Vita pushes down on Balboa's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Vita is nestled in close to Balboa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Vita is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Oh Balboa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vita lands a big elbow - Balboa is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Vita!
