Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Sisphar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Smalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smalls has chosen Lamb of God - Omerta as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Sisphar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Smalls!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sisphar slips a jab from Smalls.

Smalls shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Smalls with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Smalls throws a big right hand that misses.
Smalls stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sisphar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Smalls trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Smalls throwing strikes from guard but Sisphar blocks nicely.
Smalls throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sisphar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Smalls pushes down on Sisphar's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Sisphar tries to kick Smalls off but Smalls keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Sisphar pushes Smalls off looking to stand but Smalls dives back in and keeps control.
Smalls thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sisphar's head.

Sisphar has hold of Smalls's hands but Smalls slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Sisphar wants to get back to his feet.
Sisphar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sisphar tries to get out of the position.
Smalls trying to mount his opponent but Sisphar defends it.

Smalls not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Smalls scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Sisphar blocking the ground and pound attempt from Smalls.
Smalls not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Sisphar wants to get back to his feet.
Smalls is pressing down on Sisphar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sisphar is holding on for now.

Smalls is nestled in close to Sisphar, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Sisphar pushes Smalls off looking to stand but Smalls dives back in and keeps control.
Smalls winds up and cracks Sisphar with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Smalls missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Sisphar is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Smalls scores with a couple of nice shots.

Smalls is working for a kimura but Sisphar is defending it quite comfortably.

Smalls trying to pass the guard but Sisphar defending well.
Smalls has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Smalls landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Smalls seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smalls trying to control from half guard but Sisphar is working away.
Smalls lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Smalls dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Sisphar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smalls.
Horrible takedown by Smalls or perhaps it was just good defense by Sisphar which made him look bad.

Sisphar tries to clinch but Smalls is having none of it.
A head kick from Sisphar lands but Smalls takes it in his stride.


It looks like Tony Smalls has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Both fighters circling a little - Sisphar finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Smalls fails with the takedown.
Smalls takes a kick to the side of the head.
Smalls is breathing heavily.
Sisphar moves away from the strike by Smalls.

Sisphar lands a big head kick that sends Smalls tumbling to the mat! Sisphar takes a step backwards and waves Smalls back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Smalls is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Sisphar throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Smalls is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jimmy Sisphar!
