Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Zol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Pleasures (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Zol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Pleasures!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Zol or perhaps it was just good defense by Pleasures which made him look bad.
Pleasures keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pleasures bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Zol's head.

It looks like Jay Zol has been cut.

Pleasures manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zol on his heels. He'll look to pass Zol's guard now, I'm sure.
Zol wants to stand and escape but Pleasures is having none of it.
Pleasures controlling from the top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Pleasures was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Nice takedown defense from Pleasures. No joy for Zol on that attempt.

Pleasures shoots in and bounces Zol off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Zol is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pleasures is controlling him.

OK we're going to have a standup here. John Pleasures hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Zol walks forward, straight into a front kick from Pleasures.
Pleasures connects with a leg kick. Zol looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Pleasures throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Pleasures dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Zol. That did some damage!
Both fighters circling a little - Pleasures finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

The fighters are battling for position here. Pleasures manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zol accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

John Pleasures has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Pleasures uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Zol.

Zol drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Pleasures wasn't active enough on the ground.

Zol shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pleasures as he jumps to the side.

Pleasures is trying to control Zol's posture but Zol avoids it.
Pleasures tries to buck Zol off but Zol is having none of it.

Zol scores with a couple of short elbows.
Pleasures tries to improve position but can't.
You can see the frustration on Pleasures's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Pleasures tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zol wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Zol looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Pleasures is avoiding damage well.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Pleasures connects with a crisp jab.
Pleasures fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zol manages to avoid it.
Zol chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pleasures can pounce on him.
Pleasures leaves Zol with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pleasures defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zol.
Zol throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pleasures's waist but Pleasures gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zol off to one side.

Zol shoots in looking for a takedown. Pleasures tries to sprawl out of it but Zol keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pleasures manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jay Zol is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Zol will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Pleasures seems to be stalking Zol here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Zol drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
