Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Farias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miles Steedman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steedman is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Last Man Standing. Miles Steedman will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farias shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Steedman as he avoids it easily.
Farias gets caught napping as Steedman dives in and scores a takedown. Farias manages to retain guard.
Farias looking for a sweep. Not yet Farias, not yet.
Farias really is a fat lump.
Steedman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Farias looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Steedman is looking to pass into half guard but Farias pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Farias is in guard.
Farias is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Farias wants to stand but Steedman is controlling his posture from full guard.

Farias makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Steedman wants to stand and escape but Farias is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Farias wants to pass the guard but Steedman is keeping the position.
Steedman is looking to stand up but Farias isn't so interested in that idea.

Joseph Farias has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Steedman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Farias defends it nicely.
Steedman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Farias sprawls well initially but Steedman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Steedman wants to work for an arm triangle but Farias is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Farias is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Steedman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Steedman's back!
Steedman is trying to break free.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Farias is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Steedman taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Farias.
