The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hard dodges the punch combination from sopaoos.
Hard fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with sopaoos, pushing him back against the cage.
sopaoos jumps guard but Hard stands there with sopaoos around his waist. sopaoos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hard lands a body shot.
Hard stalling the fight.
Hard breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hard scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
sopaoos is looking to regain half guard here but Hard keeps moving and retains side control.
Hard takes a little break here. sopaoos wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Hard in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hard controlling from side mount.
Hard's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jamarcus Hard.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Hard! sopaoos is out on his feet! Hard rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - sopaoos is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! sopaoos is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
