The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Souza shoots in and gets a takedown into Tenebris's guard.
Souza has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Souza drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tenebris looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tenebris looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tenebris!
Souza is pushing Tenebris's head away, looking to escape. Tenebris manages to hold on to the position though.
Souza is looking to regain half guard here but Tenebris keeps moving and retains side control.
Souza manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Souza is looking for a kimura but Tenebris is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Souza to get the leverage.

Tenebris is trying to control but can't.
Tenebris tries to roll over but Souza keeps him under control.

Tenebris is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Souza pulls his head out easily.

Souza is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Souza seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Tenebris manages to get to full guard.
Souza wants to pass the guard but Tenebris is keeping the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tenebris lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Souza!

Souza is breathing heavily.

Tenebris looking to secure an arm triangle but Souza defends it well.

Tenebris working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Souza turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Tenebris off and cradles Souza's limp body as Tenebris celebrates with his corner.

A less than humble Ebon Tenebris misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
