The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobieski checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Hasmal moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nice jab there from Sobieski.
Hasmal lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sobieski at a distance.
Hasmal throws a head kick that misses.
Hasmal misses with an attempted mid kick.
Hasmal cracks a nice hook into Sobieski's ribs.

Hasmal walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sobieski checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Sobieski avoids the head kick by Hasmal.
Hasmal cracks Sobieski with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sobieski avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A slow jab from Hasmal misses its intended target.
Sobieski ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sobieski, as that shot connected.

Hasmal rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Sobieski counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hasmal!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sobieski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hasmal keeps working.
Hasmal avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Sobieski.
Sobieski wants to control but Hasmal is keeping him busy.
Hasmal dodges the ground and pound from Sobieski.

Hasmal parries the strikes from Sobieski easily there. Sobieski is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hasmal to escape.

Hasmal is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Hasmal is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sobieski is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Sobieski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hasmal is trying to control Sobieski's posture but Sobieski avoids it.
Sobieski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
