Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Piltz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Sarmientino!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piltz looks to land a combination but Sarmientino avoids it well.
Sarmientino takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sarmientino swats away the attempt to clinch by Piltz.
Piltz throws a combination. Sarmientino tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Piltz wants to clinch.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Piltz moves in looking to clinch but Sarmientino pushes him off.

Piltz shoots in for a double leg but Sarmientino sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Piltz throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sarmientino, as that shot connected.
Piltz connects with an inside leg kick.

Piltz throws a hook but Sarmientino blocks it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Sarmientino counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Piltz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Piltz.

Piltz is pushing Sarmientino up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Piltz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Piltz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mark Piltz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
