Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Crain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brady Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Calvin Crain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brady Smith!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looks for a takedown but Crain sprawls well.
Crain tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.
Smith dives in and grabs Crain's left leg, looking for a takedown. Crain pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.
Crain is looking to clinch.
Crain slaps away a takedown attempt from Smith, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Calvin Crain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brady Smith.

Smith closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Crain's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Smith is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Crain looking for a guillotine here but Smith defends easily.
Smith has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Smith with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Crain wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment.

Crain has momentary wrist control but Smith slips an elbow through the middle.

Smith working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smith accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Crain avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Smith looking to sit in guard and control but Crain gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Crain's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smith throws a big elbow that misses.
Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crain works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Smith postures up.
Smith works over Crain with some ground and pound from guard.
Smith postures up in Crain's guard and throws a big left but Crain blocks it.
Crain utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Crain wants to sweep but no luck.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Smith's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Smith won't allow Crain to get back to his feet.
Smith with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Crain is trying to control the position but Smith postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Crain wants to control but Smith passes easily into half guard.
Smith is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Crain is trying to control but can't.
Smith takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Crain wants to get back to full guard.
Crain has hold of Smith's hands but Smith slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Smith throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Smith wants to control but Crain is keeping him busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Crain trying to control but Smith postures up.
Smith prevents Crain from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brady Smith dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Smith tries for a takedown but Crain sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Crain tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Crain keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.

Crain closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Crain dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Crain comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Brady Smith has been cut.
Smith takes a knee to the side of the body.
Come on Crain - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Crain lands a nice elbow.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Crain lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Smith wants to get back to striking at distance but Crain won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crain leaning his opponent against the cage.
Crain lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
A right handed body shot lands from Crain.
Crain lands a nice elbow.
Crain connects with a knee to the head.
Crain taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Crain lands an elbow that stopped Smith in his tracks for a moment.


Smith is rocked!
Crain pressing his opponent against the cage.
Crain lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Crain finish him?
Crain working the clinch nicely. Smith is working for position but Crain cracks him with a big knee to the head! Smith crumples up against the cage and Crain lands two more shots before the ref can save Smith! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee & Punches). Calvin Crain!
A relieved looking Calvin Crain thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
