Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Y cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colton Cates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). cage comes to the cage accompanied by Don't let me be misunderstood. Y cage has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
cage ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Nice defenses there by cage.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cates crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from cage - the referee stops the clock and Cates gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says cage. Cates manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
cage throws a one two combo.
Cates moves away from the strike by cage.
A chopping leg kick lands by cage.
cage misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
cage lands a slapping body shot.
cage throws an overhand right that lands on Cates's shoulder, as Cates tries to avoid the shot.
cage keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cates.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cates.
Cates stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
cage connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cates's hands.
cage throws a body punch but Cates moves out of range.
cage throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
cage lands a jab to Cates's midsection.
Cates stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from cage.
Cates looks gassed!
cage fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
cage lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Cates is rocked!
A nice leg kick lands there from cage.
Y cage is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Left hook, right uppercut from cage.
Cates is still on wobbly legs! Can cage finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
cage tries to bum rush Cates with a series of wild strikes but Cates uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cates seems to have recovered his senses.
cage throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
cage catches Cates with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
cage is looking to land body kicks.
cage drops Cates with a nice combination! cage dives into Cates's guard, looking to finish!
cage has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cates is proving hard to escape from.
cage gets to his feet - Cates follows without any prompting.
cage tries to land a leg kick but Cates saw it coming and moves away.
Cates takes a jab right on the kisser.
cage feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cates's calf.
cage chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Y cage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cates on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
cage misses with the combination.
cage lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
cage lands with a shot to the body.
cage drops Cates with a beautiful combination! Cates stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - cage is looking for the KO!
cage fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
cage smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
cage stalks Cates and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cates's face. Cates staggers backwards, shaken.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Cates doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Left hook, right uppercut from cage.
cage moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
cage lands a hook that stumbles Cates back into the cage. cage follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Cates to the canvas! cage pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Cates has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
