Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sanchez manages to avoid it.

Banks will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sanchez shoots in and bounces Banks off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Banks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sanchez is one step ahead there.
Banks on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Banks tries to get out of the position.
Banks pulls Sanchez in close to his closed guard and prevents Sanchez from doing any damage or advancing position.
Sanchez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Banks swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Banks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanchez on the ground.
Sanchez postures up in Banks's guard and throws a big left but Banks blocks it.
Banks wants to sweep but no luck.
Sanchez controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Sanchez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Banks wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sanchez has him pressed against the cage.

Sanchez has Banks pressed against the cage, preventing Banks from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Banks is trying to break free.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Banks as he avoids it easily.
Scott Banks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Sanchez.
Banks throws a leg kick that misses.
Banks works Sanchez's body with a nice hook.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Banks sprawls well. Banks wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet.

Banks throws a monster overhand right that drops Sanchez! Banks follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
