The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunderson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Saki circles away.
Gunderson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Gunderson gets the takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Saki's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Gunderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Saki knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Saki tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gunderson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Saki throws a nice looking combination but Gunderson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gunderson misses with a takedown attempt - Saki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Eric Saki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Happy Gunderson.
Gunderson shoots in and drives through. Saki sprawls well.

No joy there for Saki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gunderson slips a jab and a cross from Saki.

Saki lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Gunderson is looking to close the distance but Saki sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Gunderson crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Gunderson is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
