PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Litoris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lazerus Lightning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lightning is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by HARVESTOR OF SORROW By METALLICA. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Litoris bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Litoris wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lightning keeps working.
Lightning tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Litoris wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Lightning manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Lightning wants to work for an arm triangle but Litoris is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Lightning is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Litoris defends it well.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Litoris jabs Lightning to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Litoris decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Lazerus Lightning has got the better of the ground game so far.
The fighters are battling for position here. Lightning manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Lightning escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Litoris gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lightning is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Litoris defends well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Litoris has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lightning to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Litoris is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lightning pulls down on the head and he's put Litoris to sleep! This one is all over!
