Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jas Jas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mason Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jas tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Shaw moves into the clinch.
Jas working Shaw over with knees to the body.
Jas lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Shaw tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jas smiles and moves away.

Shaw changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jas fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Shaw fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jas to the ground. Shaw is now in Jas's guard.
Jas wants to stand but Shaw is controlling the position.
Jas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shaw on the ground.
Shaw engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shaw accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Shaw sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Let's hope that Shaw has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mason Shaw.
Jas closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Mason Shaw has been cut.
Jas throws a shot from downtown. Shaw moves away and avoids it.

Shaw fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jas sprawls well initially but Shaw persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Well, if Shaw is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Shaw has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jas defend it? Shaw steps over the head and cranks it - Jas is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Shaw!
