The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaplain fails in his attempt to clinch.
Chaplain lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A combination from Chaplain does no damage.
Chaplain chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Chaplain gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Churchall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Churchall tries to stand and escape but Chaplain is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Churchall looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We're going to have a standup here because Winston Churchall wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Chaplain pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Churchall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chaplain tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Churchall swivels and escapes.

Churchall fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Chaplain to the ground. Churchall is now in Chaplain's guard.
Churchall slips nicely into half guard.
Churchall controlling the pace.

Churchall is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Chaplain has managed to free his arm - good work.
Churchall uses his free foot to push down on Chaplain's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Chaplain.
Chaplain looks winded!
Churchall mounts Chaplain! Really nice guard pass there!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Churchall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Churchall lands a nice shot to the head.
Churchall looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Churchall postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Chaplain looks a forlorn figure.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Churchall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Churchall cracks Chaplain with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Chaplain is rocked!
Churchall looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Chaplain covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
