PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahmed Foued (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wayne has chosen All I Do is Win by DJ Khaled as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foued tries to clinch there but Wayne circles away.
Foued shoots in looking for a takedown but Wayne manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Foued's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Wayne counters with a shoot takedown. Foued fights it but they end up in guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ahmed Foued. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Foued is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wayne throws an elbow that misses. Foued uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wayne's guard. Nice move by Foued!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wayne can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ahmed Foued has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Foued. Wayne does a little dance to reset his feet.

Wayne feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Foued will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Foued is breathing heavily.
Wayne wants to stand but Foued is controlling his posture from full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wayne gets to his feet and stands over Foued, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Foued felt that one! Wayne unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Foued from any more punishment!

Damien Wayne decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
