Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giant Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giant rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Matthews counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Giant defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Matthews.

Matthews shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Matthews is working for a kimura but Giant is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Matthews has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Giant defend it? Matthews steps over the head and cranks it - Giant is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Matthews!
