The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Alves momentarily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Jenkins.
Alves throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alves looks to land a combination but Jenkins avoids it well.
Alves checks a low kick from Jenkins.
Alves moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Alves blocks the body kick.
Alves misses with a hook.
Jenkins scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A shot to the body from Alves misses
and Jenkins counters with a nice low kick that buckles Alves's knee momentarily.
Alves takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Danilo Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alves staying out of range there.
Alves avoids a kick to the body.
Jenkins bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Alves's head backwards.
It looks like Danilo Alves has been cut.
Jenkins ducks under a wild hook from Alves.
Jenkins misses with a right hand
and Alves counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Alves throws a right and a left that both miss.
Roderick Jenkins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jenkins throws a jab when Alves was well out of range.
Alves closes the distance but Jenkins moves to the side
and Alves takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Alves takes a swing at Jenkins's ribcage but misses.
A cross from Alves lands.
Jenkins moves away from the strike by Alves.
Jenkins cracks Alves with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Alves throws a hook but Jenkins blocks it.
Alves tries to clinch but Jenkins is having none of it.
Alves slips under a jab.
Jenkins ducks under a wild hook from Alves.
A combination from Alves does no damage.
Alves misses with an uppercut
and Jenkins counters with a nice body kick.
Alves looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jenkins moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jenkins connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Jenkins drops Alves with a straight right hand, right on the button! Jenkins follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
