Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reginald Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Blood Brothers - Papa Roach as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Reginald Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matt Silva!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walker pinned against the cage. Walker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Silva throws a hook but Walker avoids it easily.
Silva tries to clinch up but Walker circles away and keeps his distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Walker's guard.
Silva keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Walker's head.
Silva slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Walker wants to stand and escape but Silva is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva landing with the ground and pound.
Silva trying to control but Walker is working from the bottom.

Walker pushes Silva off and scrambles back to his feet.
Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Walker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Some wild striking there from Walker.
Good shot there by Walker.
Reginald Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva moves out of range as Walker strikes.
Silva takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Walker fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Walker misses with a head kick.
Walker throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Walker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. Walker didn't expect that.
Walker is breathing heavily.
Silva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Silva passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Silva trying to control the action but Walker is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Walker is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Silva misses with the ground and pound.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Reginald Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Silva.
Walker works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Silva takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Walker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Walker throws a head kick that misses

and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. Walker didn't expect that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Silva dominated that round.

Walker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Silva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Walker tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Walker to the ground. Walker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Walker lands with a right hand.
A big left from Walker misses.
Walker throws a left and a right that both miss

and Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Walker is trying to stand back up but Silva is controlling him
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Walker avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Silva.
Silva wants to control but Walker is keeping him busy.

Silva throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Walker is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Walker is trying to stand up here but Silva is controlling him well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Silva forces Walker back against the cage and clinches.
Silva has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Walker avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Reginald Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Silva.
Silva drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Walker pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Walker scores with a sloppy right hand. Silva should have avoided that one.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Walker throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Walker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Walker's guard.
Matt Silva has got the better of the ground game so far.
Silva with a nice head shot there.
Silva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Walker wants to stand up but Silva is controlling him.
Silva throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Walker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Walker keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Silva wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving.
Silva sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Walker lunges at Silva with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Silva's hand.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Walker's guard.
Silva stops Walker from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Walker keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully.

Walker pushes Silva off and gets back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
Nice defenses there by Silva.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Walker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Walker.

Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Silva is stalling here but it's allowed Walker to get half guard.
Silva is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Walker looks like he's trying to stand up.
Silva is tying to control. Walker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Silva seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Walker has hold of Silva's hands but Silva slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Silva passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Walker!
Walker is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Silva is in the full mount, landing strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Silva goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Walker turns into him and now he's in Silva's guard.
Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Walker stands up and waves to Silva to follow him.
Walker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Walker scores with a jab to the jaw.
Walker throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Silva to counter with a crisp jab.
Nice defenses there by Silva.
Silva closes this distance looking for a takedown but Walker circles away.
Walker lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Walker misses with a shot to the body

and Silva counters with a shoot takedown. Walker fights it but they end up in guard.

Walker has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Silva off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Silva has a takedown stuffed.
Silva has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Walker swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Walker wants to get back to his feet.
Walker is staying active underneath Silva, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Matt Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Silva winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
