Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Humble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Acosta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eduardo Acosta looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Simon Humble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eduardo Acosta!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Humble fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Acosta looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Humble clobbers Acosta with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Humble misses with the combination.
Humble shoots in for a double leg but Acosta sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Humble shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Acosta avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Humble seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Humble drops back looking for a leg! Acosta is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Acosta manages to kick Humble off! Humble jumps back into Acosta's guard.
Humble engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Humble wanted to stand there but Acosta had control of the position.

Humble drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Humble jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Humble drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Acosta manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Humble has Acosta in his guard.

Humble has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Acosta can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Acosta slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Humble looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Humble seems keen to control Acosta's posture.
Acosta won't allow Humble to get back to his feet.
Humble on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Humble tries to get out of the position.

Humble pulls Acosta in close to prevent any damage.

Humble escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Acosta gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Acosta stops Humble from standing up.

Humble rushes Acosta and presses him up against the cage.

Humble successfully pulls guard.

Humble working for submissions but it's allowed Acosta to get to half guard.

Humble is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Acosta pulls his head out easily.
Humble is trying to get back to full guard.

Humble looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Acosta is breathing heavily.

Humble wants to control but Acosta is keeping busy.

Simon Humble overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Acosta decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Humble fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Acosta, pushing him back against the cage.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Humble throws a right and a left that both miss.
Humble fails with a takedown attempt.

Humble fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Acosta sprawls well initially but Humble persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Humble is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Humble is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Acosta takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Humble is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Acosta doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Humble.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Humble works his way into side control.

Humble is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Acosta has escaped the position, nice work there.

Humble is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Humble tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Humble has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Acosta regains half guard.
Humble is looking to take a break and control but Acosta is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Humble is looking to advance position but Acosta won't allow it.

Humble is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Acosta has managed to free his arm - good work.

Humble is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Humble takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Well Humble has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
