Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steffan Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Mostavo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steffan Ward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Mostavo!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mostavo takes a kick to the side of the head.
Ward throws a right hand that Mostavo ducks under and follows up with a left that Mostavo also avoids with ease.
The crowd cheers as Ward lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mostavo doesn't seem phased though.
Mostavo tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Mostavo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ward looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mostavo controlling the position from side mount.
Ward is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Mostavo is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Ward is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ward knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mostavo on the ground.
Mostavo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ward is desperately trying to improve his position but Mostavo has a good base and remains in mount.
Ward tries to hold on but Mostavo postures up.
Mostavo stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Ward looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Steffan Ward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ward throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ward rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mostavo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ward throws a head kick that misses
and Mostavo counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Ward is breathing heavily.
Mostavo pulls guard effortlessly.
Ward has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mostavo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ward is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mostavo pulls down on the head and he's put Ward to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Chris Mostavo!
