Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ling keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ling closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Maia to the mat! Maia manages to get full guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Maia has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ling is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Maia.
You can see the frustration on Maia's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Maia manages to get back to half guard.
Maia wants to get back to full guard.
Ling seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Maia does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Maia is pressing down on Ling's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Maia has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ling is working away from the top position though.
Maia wants to control the action here but instead Ling manages to pass to full mount!

Maia is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Ling off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Maia has hold of Ling's leg, trying to break free but it's let Ling lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Maia is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Ling throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
