Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Silver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Booby Miles!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver misses with a wild combination.
A combination from Silver does no damage.
Miles showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Silver.
Miles on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Silver throws a combination that misses
and Miles counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silver won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Miles has hold of Silver's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Silver tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Miles cranks the arm and Silver screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Silver, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Booby Miles!
