Datsik comes into the arena with Lunatic Fringe blaring out of the sound system. Phillip Pirrup has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Datsik throws a looping overhand right but Pirrup ducks down to avoid it.
Datsik ducks under a wild hook from Pirrup.
Horrible takedown by Pirrup or perhaps it was just good defense by Datsik which made him look bad.
Datsik lands a jab.
Pirrup lands a nice hook to Datsik's body. Datsik takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Pirrup fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Datsik sprawls well initially but Pirrup persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Pirrup working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Pirrup is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Datsik sees it coming and defends easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Datsik is looking for a sweep. Pirrup is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Datsik knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pirrup on the ground.
Datsik tries to get to full guard but Pirrup has control of the leg.

Pirrup maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Datsik could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Pirrup has cracked it and Datsik is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Pirrup!
