Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Espinosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armand Agasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jesus Espinosa looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Armand Agasi!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Agasi pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Agasi blocks a jab.
Espinosa lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Agasi at a distance.
Espinosa misses with a double jab.
Agasi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Espinosa on the side of the head.
Espinosa fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Agasi checks it well.
Agasi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Espinosa.
Espinosa misses with a right hand

and Agasi moves into the clinch.

Agasi gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Espinosa regains guard.
Espinosa is breathing heavily.
Espinosa keeping moving, preventing Agasi from controlling successfully.
Agasi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Agasi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Agasi trying to control the position from guard on top but Espinosa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Agasi advances to half guard.

Espinosa is looking to control Agasi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Espinosa avoid being mounted?
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Agasi is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Agasi jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Espinosa manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Agasi lands a few punches from side control.
Espinosa takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Agasi lands a nice forearm strike.

Agasi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Espinosa, who protects the arm well.
Agasi is working Espinosa over with some ground and pound from side control.
Espinosa can't do much from the bottom here.
Agasi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Espinosa is not content to let Agasi control the position.
Agasi tries to advance to mount but Espinosa denies him.
Espinosa is looking to regain half guard here but Agasi keeps moving and retains side control.

Agasi fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Espinosa is rocked!

Oh Espinosa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Espinosa keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Agasi! Espinosa is hurt baaadly! Agasi is firing away with more strikes - Espinosa is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Armand Agasi!
During a confident post fight interview, Armand Agasi thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
