Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Leach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tuomas Keto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tuomas Keto is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matt Leach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tuomas Keto!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leach fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Keto looking to score a takedown here. Leach is defending well but Keto drives through and ends up in Leach's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Leach is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Keto sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Leach's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Keto tries to pass to full mount but Leach defends it.
Leach tries to roll over but Keto keeps him under control.
Keto missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Leach is refusing to be controlled, as Keto sits in half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Leach fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Keto has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Keto.
Horrible takedown by Keto or perhaps it was just good defense by Leach which made him look bad.
Leach scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Leach throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Keto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Leach's waist but Leach gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Keto off to one side.
Matt Leach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tuomas Keto.
Keto fakes the leg kick and cracks Leach in the body.
Keto avoids a kick to the body.
Leach stuffs the takedown.
Leach really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Leach throws a leg kick but Keto sees it coming and checks it nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Leach lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Leach digs a good hook to Keto's body.
Leach throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Good leg kick by Leach there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Leach.
Leach throws a sloppy head kick and Keto moves out of range easily.

Leach lands a nice looking kick to the body. Keto takes a step back to recover.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Keto checks the leg kick nicely there.
Tuomas Keto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Keto moves out of range as Leach strikes.
Leach misses with a head kick.
Keto lands with a hook. Leach tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Keto throws a series of punches but Leach avoids them all with ease.

Leach is looking to wear down Keto with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

and Keto counters with a nice double leg into side control. Leach won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Keto is looking to take a break and control but Leach is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Keto wants to pass to mount but Leach is defending the position.
Keto prevents Leach from improving his position.

Keto is pulling down on Leach's head. It's preventing any offense from Leach, at least for the moment.

Leach will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Leach is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Keto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

A nice inside leg kick there by Leach. That's going to slow Keto down.
Leach throws a hook but Keto blocks it.
Leach throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Keto tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Keto has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Keto wants to stand but Leach is controlling his arm.
A lull in the action here as Keto stalls from top position.

Leach scores with a decent looking hook.
Keto closes this distance looking for a takedown but Leach circles away.

Leach fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Keto looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Keto changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Leach looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Keto swings around for an armbar but Leach sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Keto's guard.
Keto takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Leach passes Keto's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Keto takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Keto closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Leach quickly recovers to half guard.
Leach is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Keto's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Keto's back!

Keto turns into Leach and is now in his guard.

Keto looking to sit in guard and control but Leach gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Keto has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Leach is working away from the top position though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Matt Leach.
Keto moves out of range of the body kick from Leach.
Leach digs a good body shot into Keto's ribs.
