Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julius Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Tatov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tatov has chosen Soundgarden - Superunknown as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson misses with a wild body shot.
Lawson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Tatov shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lawson eats them both and turns towards Tatov to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Julius Lawson has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tatov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lawson is one step ahead there.
Tatov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Lawson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Tatov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lawson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

After winning the bout, Igor Tatov thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
