Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Parker Van Eyck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan comes to the cage accompanied by Gangnam Style. Van Eyck is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Surfin' USA . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Jordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Parker Van Eyck!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Eyck tries to clinch up.
Parker Van Eyck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Van Eyck closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Jordan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Van Eyck can't fight it off and eventually Jordan manages to take the fight to the floor. Van Eyck looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jordan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Van Eyck escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jordan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jordan stands up over Van Eyck, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Van Eyck throws a series of strikes that have Jordan backpedaling.


It looks like Michael Jordan has been cut.
Van Eyck shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jordan as he avoids it easily.
Van Eyck lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jordan circles away quickly and effectively.

Jordan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Jordan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Van Eyck to his feet.
Van Eyck throws the left hand but Jordan avoids the punch easily.
Jordan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Van Eyck looks winded!
Van Eyck leaves Jordan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Van Eyck throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jordan.
Jordan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Van Eyck slips a jab and a cross from Jordan.
Jordan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Van Eyck displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jordan.

Van Eyck takes the fight into the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Jordan.

Jordan pulls guard successfully.
Jordan keeping moving, preventing Van Eyck from controlling successfully.
Van Eyck throws a big right hand that misses.
Van Eyck trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jordan's guard.
Van Eyck throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jordan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Van Eyck trying to control the position from guard on top but Jordan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jordan has his feet on Van Eyck's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Van Eyck tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jordan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Van Eyck throws a low kick but Jordan avoids it.
Van Eyck shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jordan sprawls well. Jordan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Van Eyck gets slowly back to his feet.

Van Eyck fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jordan sprawls well initially but Van Eyck persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jordan has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Van Eyck off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Horrible takedown by Van Eyck or perhaps it was just good defense by Jordan which made him look bad.

Jordan decides to stand back up. Jordan steps back and let's Van Eyck get back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jordan.
Van Eyck tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jordan presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
You get the feeling that Van Eyck really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Michael Jordan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Van Eyck closes the distance and clinches up with Jordan, looking for a takedown. Van Eyck pushes Jordan against the cage but Jordan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Van Eyck is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jordan is just riding it out for now. Van Eyck eventually gives up the hold.

Van Eyck is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Jordan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Van Eyck is working away from the top position though.
Jordan manages to get to full guard.
Jordan is trying to control the position but Van Eyck postures up.
Jordan lands an upkick as Van Eyck stands over him.

Jordan pulls Van Eyck in close to his closed guard and prevents Van Eyck from doing any damage or advancing position.

Jordan pushes Van Eyck off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Van Eyck wants to take the fight to the mat but Jordan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Van Eyck shoots in but no luck this time.
Michael Jordan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Parker Van Eyck.

Jordan fails with a takedown attempt.
Van Eyck misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Michael Jordan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jordan has closed the distance and engaged Van Eyck in a clinch.

Michael Jordan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Jordan decides to stand back up. Jordan steps back and let's Van Eyck get back to his feet.

Michael Jordan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jordan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
