Sladkov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rich Boy - Boy Looka Here . Oleg Sladkov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Carl Burns's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carl Burns!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sladkov misses with a series of wild punches.
A combination from Sladkov does no damage.
Sladkov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Burns on the wrong end of a nice hook.
It looks like Carl Burns has been cut.
Sladkov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sladkov misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Burns counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sladkov won't be happy with that.
Burns trying to control the action but Sladkov is working from the bottom.
Burns thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Burns throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Sladkov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burns on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sladkov avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Burns.
Burns tries to score with some ground and pound. Sladkov controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Burns lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sladkov down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burns is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sladkov looks calm but he's in trouble here. Burns gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sladkov is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Burns lets go of the hold and Sladkov can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Carl Burns!
