Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krystof Mckay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zapata comes to the cage accompanied by Tres Delinquentes. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alejandro Zapata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Krystof Mckay!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mckay works the jab nicely.
Zapata throws a shot to the body.
Zapata takes a swing at Mckay's ribcage but misses.
Zapata fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mckay on the side of the head.
Zapata cracks the inside of Mckay's front leg.
Mckay is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zapata lands a nice hook to Mckay's body. Mckay takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Mckay stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Zapata.
Alejandro Zapata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zapata wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Zapata tried to score with a low kick but Mckay checks it.

Zapata bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mckay's head.
Mckay ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Mckay throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mckay uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Zapata.
Zapata throws a leg kick but Mckay sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Zapata throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Zapata connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mckay. Mckay circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Mckay looks winded!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mckay manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Zapata working over Mckay with some ground and pound. Mckay looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Mckay is refusing to be controlled, as Zapata sits in half guard.

Mckay is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Zapata pulls his head out easily.

Zapata is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mckay has managed to free his arm - good work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Zapata scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Mckay is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zapata defends well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mckay has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zapata can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's time! Zapata's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Mckay ducks right into an uppercut from Zapata.
Zapata bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Zapata throws a nice outside leg kick.
Zapata misses with an uppercut. Mckay saw that one coming.
Zapata fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mckay looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mckay is breathing heavily.
Zapata connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mckay. Mckay circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Zapata lands with a nice combination. Mckay backs away looking to recover.

Mckay misses with a looping left.
Mckay is still on wobbly legs! Can Zapata finish him?
Mckay misses with a wild combination.
Mckay seems to have recovered his senses.
A slow jab from Zapata misses its intended target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zapata. Mckay does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mckay takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mckay avoids a punch combination nicely.
Zapata ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Mckay throws a right hand that Zapata ducks under and follows up with a left that Zapata also avoids with ease.
Zapata throws a leg kick but Mckay checks it.

Mckay staying out of range there.
Zapata is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mckay can do to turn this around?
Mckay lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Zapata misses with a low kick.
Zapata lands a jab to Mckay's midsection.

Zapata closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Mckay! Zapata dives in looking to finish! Mckay is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

A relieved looking Alejandro Zapata thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
