Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Francois Van Steyne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Ring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Steyne comes to the cage accompanied by When Angels Cry. Jeremy Ring has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Francois Van Steyne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Ring!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ring throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Van Steyne misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ring fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Van Steyne keeps the fight on the outside.

Ring drives through with a takedown into Van Steyne's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Van Steyne is trying to keep Ring in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ring drops back looking for a leg! Van Steyne is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Van Steyne manages to kick Ring off! Ring jumps back into Van Steyne's guard.

Ring throws a left that rocks Van Steyne and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Ring dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Van Steyne regain composure!

Ring throws a strike aimed at the side of Van Steyne's head but Van Steyne avoids it well.

Ring thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ring goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Van Steyne has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ring but great work by Van Steyne.

Van Steyne stands up and beckons Ring to his feet.

Ring tries to clinch up but Van Steyne circles away and keeps his distance.

Ring is trying hard to land a takedown here. Van Steyne sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Van Steyne leaves Ring with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ring takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ring tries to close the distance and clinch up but Van Steyne swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ring shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Van Steyne pinned against the cage. Van Steyne gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ring throws a nice looking combination but Van Steyne bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Van Steyne displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ring throws out the jab.

Ring shoots in and bounces Van Steyne off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Van Steyne has his feet on Ring's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Ring feints and then cracks Van Steyne's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Van Steyne down.

A low kick from Ring is predictable there
and Van Steyne counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Ring is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Van Steyne throws a head kick but Ring moves out of range.
Ring walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Van Steyne takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ring misses with a head kick.
Van Steyne stuffs the takedown attempt from Ring. Ring gets slowly back to his feet.
Ring is breathing heavily.
Van Steyne misses with a head kick.
Van Steyne throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Ring looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ring misses with a few strikes there.
Ring misses with a body kick.
Van Steyne lands a head kick!

Van Steyne lands a big head kick that sends Ring tumbling to the mat! Van Steyne takes a step backwards and waves Ring back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Ring is rocked!

Van Steyne moves out of range as Ring throws a body kick.
Ring is still on wobbly legs! Can Van Steyne finish him?
Ring swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Van Steyne counters with a straight right hand.
Van Steyne tries a head kick but it misses.
Jeremy Ring is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ring throws a combination that misses
and as Ring loses concentration momentarily, Van Steyne counters with a picture perfect head kick! Ring goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Francois Van Steyne!
A very excited looking Francois Van Steyne rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
