Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Juha Kuivanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filip Andersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andersson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Krewella - Alive. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juha Kuivanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Filip Andersson!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuivanen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Andersson tries to avoid it but Kuivanen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Andersson to the ground. Andersson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kuivanen throws a head kick but Andersson moves out of range.

Andersson dives in and scores a takedown into Kuivanen's guard.
Andersson controlling from the top position.
Kuivanen wants to sweep but no luck.
Andersson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Filip Andersson wasn't active enough on the ground.

Andersson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Andersson lands strikes from half guard.

Andersson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kuivanen sees it coming and defends easily.

Let's hope that Andersson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Andersson blocks the strikes from Kuivanen.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Andersson lands a nice short elbow.
Andersson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Andersson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Andersson seems to be working for a kimura but Kuivanen defends the submission attempt.

Andersson blocks the strikes from Kuivanen.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kuivanen is looking to improve his position.
Andersson trying to control the pace.
Andersson is nestled in close to Kuivanen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kuivanen is looking to control Andersson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kuivanen avoid being mounted?

Kuivanen tries to roll over but Andersson keeps him under control.

Still in half guard, Andersson seems content to control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kuivanen is defended easily by Andersson.
Kuivanen misses with a takedown attempt - Andersson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juha Kuivanen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kuivanen is breathing heavily.
Kuivanen on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Andersson cracks Kuivanen on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Kuivanen falls backwards against the cage. Andersson follows up with more strikes that drop Kuivanen to his knees. Andersson keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Kuivanen! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Filip Andersson!
Filip Andersson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
