The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hood shoots in and bounces Nettles off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Nettles is looking to stand up but Hood isn't so interested in that idea.
Hood sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nettles's guard.

Nettles knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hood on the ground.

Hood cracks Nettles with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Hood immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Nettles is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Hood!

A determined Jay Hood didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
