The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mask accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mask wants to control from the top but McBrain keeps moving.

Let's hope that McBrain has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bruce McBrain wasn't active enough on the ground.

McBrain fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mask has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
