Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Wiggin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Foe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrew Wiggin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Foe!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wiggin drives through and clinches with Foe against the cage.

Foe lands a takedown into guard.
Foe missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Foe distracts Wiggin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Foe with a flurry of punches that miss.
Foe trying to control the position from guard on top but Wiggin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wiggin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Foe trying to control but Wiggin is working from the bottom.

Foe gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Andrew Wiggin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Foe closes the distance and clinches.
Foe drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wiggin gets the underhooks and prevents it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Foe changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wiggin fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Foe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wiggin moves away.

and Foe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Foe counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wiggin's guard now.
Foe lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Foe missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Foe pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wiggin is keeping the position for now.

Foe throws a big elbow that misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Foe lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Foe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wiggin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Foe wants to control from the top but Wiggin keeps moving.

Foe throws an elbow that misses. Wiggin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Foe's guard. Nice move by Wiggin!
Wiggin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Foe trying to keep a closed guard but Wiggin is proving a slippery customer.
Foe keeping moving, preventing Wiggin from controlling successfully.
Foe wants to hit a switch here but Wiggin passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Foe there!
Wiggin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Foe's face.

Wiggin prevents Foe from getting the reversal.
Foe is bucking up trying to escape but Wiggin cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Wiggin gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Wiggin tries to clinch up but Foe circles away and keeps his distance.
Foe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wiggin avoids it really well and circles away.

and Foe counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Foe shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Wiggin is trying to stand back up but Foe is controlling him
Foe is figuring out what he wants to do next.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Foe is on top in guard.
Foe is pushing down on Wiggin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wiggin is fighting to maintain full guard but Foe has managed to sneak the leg through.

Foe is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wiggin has managed to free his arm - good work.
Foe is looking to take a break and control but Wiggin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Andrew Wiggin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Foe is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Joe Foe is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Joe Foe.
I've got Foe winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
