Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Klaus Saenger!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Johnson - just one landing.
Saenger has a takedown stuffed.
Saenger closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away.

Johnson closes the distance and pushes Saenger back into the cage.
Johnson prevents the takedown attempt.
Carl Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Klaus Saenger.
Saenger fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Saenger swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson.
Johnson misses the shot to the body.
Johnson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Johnson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Saenger under the eye.

A jab-cross combination lands for Johnson and sends Saenger crashing to the mat! Johnson follows him down to the mat - Saenger regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


Saenger is rocked!


It looks like Klaus Saenger has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
Saenger is trying to stand up here but Johnson is controlling him well.
Johnson tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Carl Johnson.
Saenger shoots in but Johnson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Johnson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Saenger is controlling him.

Johnson is defending against the submission attempts here by Saenger.

Johnson is looking to stand up but Saenger isn't so interested in that idea.

Saenger in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Saenger wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.
Saenger stopping the sweep attempt from Johnson.
Saenger makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Saenger is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Klaus Saenger has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
No luck for Saenger with that takedown attempt.
Saenger shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Saenger tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.
Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Johnson scores with a three punch combo!

Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Johnson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Saenger shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Saenger looks winded!
Johnson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Johnson connects with a crisp jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Saenger closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson, looking for a takedown. Saenger pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Saenger tries to move into range but Johnson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Saenger shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense.
Johnson scores with a sloppy right hand. Saenger should have avoided that one.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
Jab by Johnson.
Saenger dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Saenger's head and hops out.
Johnson connects with a right that clearly hurt Saenger. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Johnson proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Saenger collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carl Johnson!
