Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Floyd Money (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jens Pulver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Floyd Money!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jens Pulver !
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Money lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Left hook, right uppercut from Money.
Sloppy strikes from Money. Those never looked like landing.
Horrible takedown by Money or perhaps it was just good defense by Pulver which made him look bad.
Pulver will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pulver swinging wildly here.

Pulver looking to score a takedown here. Money is defending well but Pulver drives through and ends up in Money's guard.

Money is working an open guard so Pulver takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Pulver closes the distance and clinches up with Money, looking for a takedown. Pulver pushes Money against the cage but Money circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Money gets caught flat footed, as Pulver shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Pulver trying to control the position from guard on top but Money is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pulver slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Pulver trying to control but Money is working from the bottom.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Pulver not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jens Pulver hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Money tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Pulver moves into the clinch.

Pulver tightens his grip and picks Money up, before dumping him to the ground. Money manages to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Money trying to keep a closed guard but Pulver is proving a slippery customer.

Pulver drops back, looking for a kneebar! Money looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Money looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Money!

Pulver tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Money wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Money lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pulver down.
Money wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pulver keeps working.
Money really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Pulver tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Money wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pulver is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Pulver misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Pulver is looking for a sweep. Money is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Pulver slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Money trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Pulver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Money. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pulver wants to stand and escape but Money is having none of it.
Money is breathing heavily.

Pulver working for a triangle but Money defends it easily.
Money throws a strike but Pulver rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Pulver is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Money controls Pulver momentarily but Pulver frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jens Pulver dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Pulver shoots in and gets a takedown into Money's guard.
Pulver throws an elbow that misses. Money uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pulver 's guard. Nice move by Money!
Money wants to control from the top but Pulver keeps moving.
Pulver utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Pulver is pulling down on Money's head. It's preventing any offense from Money, at least for the moment.

Pulver is looking for a triangle but Money pushes his legs off easily.
Money wants to get up but he can't break Pulver 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Money being controlled here momentarily.
Pulver is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Money working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Pulver has his foot on Money's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Money works his way back into a safe position though.

Money decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pulver , up you get!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Money keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pulver shoots in for a takedown but Money shows good takedown defense.

Money fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Money looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Pulver 's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Pulver wants to free his trapped foot but Money is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pulver is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jens Pulver was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Pulver fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Money to the ground. Pulver is now in Money's guard.
Pulver 's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Money preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jens Pulver hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Pulver tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Money was well out of range. Poor timing from Pulver .

Jens Pulver showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Pulver shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pulver showed some decent athleticism there.

Pulver looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Pulver shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Money as he avoids it easily.

Pulver shoots in and bounces Money off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Money is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pulver is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pulver is looking to work some ground and pound but Money has wrist control.

Jens Pulver comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
