Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grant Manfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Marcelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcelo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Manfield sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Marcelo somewhat.
Marcelo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Marcelo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Marcelo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Manfield is fending him off so far but Marcelo persists. Nope, Manfield circles away and we're back to standing.
Manfield changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marcelo tries to avoid it but Manfield manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marcelo to the ground. Marcelo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Marcelo throws a head kick but Manfield moves out of range.

Manfield is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Marcelo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
