Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Myron Obusan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernandez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Yakety Sax. Obusan has chosen Frontlines by Diabolic feat. Immortal Technique as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Fernandez!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Myron Obusan!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obusan throws a low kick but Fernandez moves out of range easily.
Fernandez tries to clinch up
and Obusan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fernandez tries to clinch but Obusan is having none of it.
Fernandez closes the distance and pushes Obusan back into the cage.
Obusan is working for takedown but Fernandez is calmly controlling the position for now.
Fernandez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Obusan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fernandez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fernandez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Fernandez moves to clinch but Obusan breaks away
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Fernandez tries to clinch but Obusan moves out of range.
Fernandez lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Obusan backs up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fernandez throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Fernandez catches Obusan with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fernandez clinches.
Obusan takes a shot to the head.
Fernandez keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Obusan's efforts to push away.
Obusan is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
A short body shot lands from Fernandez as the two fighters clinch.
Obusan tries to score a body lock takedown but Fernandez shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Fernandez tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Obusan's elbow.
Fernandez misses with a knee strike.
Fernandez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fernandez tries to clinch but Obusan is having none of it.
Obusan tries to move into range but Fernandez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Fernandez misses with a wild combination.
Fernandez goes for a small jab and connects. Now Fernandez goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Obusan stumbles back but Fernandez runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Obusan to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Obusan will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jason Fernandez!
