The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gil shoots in but no luck this time.
Gil is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Gil moves in looking to clinch but Konani pushes him off.

Konani has managed to clinch.
Konani lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gil backwards.

A right hook to the body lands for Konani.
The referee calls for Konani to work.
Konani digs a right hand into Gil's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Gil's gas tank.
Gil is trying to pull guard but Konani has him pressed against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Konani creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Gil tries to score a body lock takedown but Konani shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Mikala Konani.
Gil shoots in looking for a takedown. Konani tries to sprawl out of it but Gil keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Konani manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gil tries to clinch up but Konani circles away and keeps his distance.

Konani fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gil, pushing him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gil is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Konani is keeping busy.

Gil has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Konani is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Gil is trying to drag Konani to the mat but Konani just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Konani will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Gil up against the cage.
