PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Killa Venom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Ling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Killa Venom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kenji Ling!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ling closes this distance looking for a takedown but Venom circles away.
Horrible takedown by Venom or perhaps it was just good defense by Ling which made him look bad.
Ling tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Venom will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ling throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Venom sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Venom tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ling swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Killa Venom. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Venom throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ling's waist but Ling gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Venom off to one side.
Venom is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ling sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ling throws a low kick but Venom avoids it.

Ling shoots in and gets a takedown into Venom's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Ling drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ling jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Venom can't keep his opponent in guard - Ling advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Ling seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Venom is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
