Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antoine Dodson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinisa Veljko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dodson comes to the cage accompanied by Antoine Dodson - Bed Intruder. Veljko comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Stemm - Face the pain kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Antoine Dodson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

19 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Sinisa Veljko!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dodson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dodson. Veljko does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sinisa Veljko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Veljko shoots in for a takedown but Dodson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dodson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Veljko manages to avoid it.
Dodson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Veljko throws a half hearted mid kick.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Veljko misses with a takedown attempt - Dodson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Dodson is looking to wear down Veljko with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Dodson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Veljko has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Veljko is trying desperately to land a takedown but Dodson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Veljko.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Veljko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Veljko throws an elbow that misses. Dodson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Veljko's guard. Nice move by Dodson!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dodson tries to stand but Veljko is controlling from the bottom.
Dodson won't allow Veljko to get back to his feet.
Veljko has a closed guard, preventing Dodson from standing up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Antoine Dodson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Dodson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Dodson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Dodson wants to stand and escape but instead Veljko has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Veljko is in close to Dodson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Antoine Dodson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Veljko throws a big elbow that misses.
Dodson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Veljko postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Veljko throws a strike but Dodson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dodson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Veljko is proving hard to escape from.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Veljko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dodson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dodson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Antoine Dodson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dodson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
