Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Parker Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Billy Bob enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Parker Griffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Bob!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Griffin.
Bob throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Griffin moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


It looks like Billy Bob has been cut.
Griffin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Griffin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Griffin cracks Bob with a good jab.

Bob closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Griffin quickly recovers to half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Griffin is staying active underneath Bob, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Griffin wants to get back to his feet.

Griffin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bob is working away from the top position though.
Bob wants to lay and pray for a moment but Griffin keeps working.
Bob uses his free foot to push down on Griffin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Griffin.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Griffin manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Bob has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bob throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Bob controlling the position easily from mount.
Griffin really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Bob postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Griffin looks a forlorn figure.

Bob sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Bob jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Griffin is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Griffin and Bob has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Bob lands some shots froms side control.
Bob fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Bob has knee on belly momentarily but Griffin bucks him off and regains half guard.
Griffin won't allow Bob to pass to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Bob dominated that round.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Bob lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Bob gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Parker Griffin wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Bob has taken the fight to the clinch.

Griffin has a couple of punches blocked by Bob.
Bob manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Bob gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Griffin regains guard.

Bob won't allow Griffin to get back to his feet.
Griffin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Parker Griffin has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Bob slips a jab from Griffin.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bob fakes the leg kick and cracks Griffin in the body.

Bob darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Billy Bob showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Bob keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Bob lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bob shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Griffin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Bob drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bob is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Griffin is aware though and is defending well.
Bob has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Griffin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Billy Bob is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Griffin is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Bob has picked Griffin up - he's going for a ride! Bob dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bob postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bob tries to advance to mount but Griffin instead regains half guard.
Bob has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Billy Bob comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Bob winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
