Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Edwards!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Petru Dijieo!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dijieo is fending him off so far but Edwards persists. Nope, Dijieo circles away and we're back to standing.
Dijieo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Edwards looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dijieo wants to control from the top but Edwards keeps moving.
Dijieo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Edwards's guard.
Edwards tries to roll over but Dijieo keeps him under control.
Dijieo misses with a head shot. Edwards uses the momentum to regain guard.
Dijieo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dijieo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Dijieo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Edwards bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dijieo's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Edwards trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dijieo looking for a guillotine here but Edwards defends easily.

Edwards pushing down on Dijieo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Dijieo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Edwards.
Edwards trying to pass the guard but Dijieo defending well.
Dijieo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Edwards. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Edwards is tying to control. Dijieo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Dijieo pushes Edwards off looking to stand but Edwards dives back in and keeps control.
Edwards lands strikes from half guard.
Dijieo is trying to get back to full guard.
Edwards is looking to advance position but Dijieo won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dijieo throws a hook but Edwards avoids it easily.
Dijieo looks to land a right hand but Edwards moved out of range.
Dijieo moves away from the strike by Edwards.
Edwards shoots and misses
and Dijieo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Edwards!
Edwards is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dijieo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Edwards is rocked!
Edwards is in a horrible position here. Dijieo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Edwards is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dijieo lands a big elbow.
A big strike lands for Dijieo! That's really hurt Edwards and he's turned his back - Dijieo keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Dijieo Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Petru Dijieo!
